AUCTION TERMS FOR AUCTIONS.CARSTOP.SE

1. Scope and Applicability
These Auction Terms apply to all auctions conducted via the website auctions.carstop.se (hereinafter “the Platform”), operated by Carstop Falkenberg AB, org.nr 559147-9950. By registering a buyer or seller user account on the Platform, the user agrees to be bound by these Auction Terms and the associated Terms of Use.
2. User Account and Acceptance of Terms
By creating a user account, whether as buyer or seller, the user hereby accepts and agrees to comply with all the Terms of Use and these Auction Terms. This agreement is legally binding for all users throughout their use of the Platform.
3. Seller Obligations
3.1. When placing an auction listing, the seller may set a reservation price (“reservationspris”). This reservation price is the minimum price at which the seller is willing to sell the vehicle.
3.2. Once the reservation price is met or exceeded by the highest bid at the close of the auction, the seller enters into a binding purchase agreement with the highest bidder.
3.3. The seller is obligated to complete the sale with the highest bidder if the reservation price is reached, and may not withdraw the vehicle from the auction.
3.4. Upon creating an auction listing on the Platform, the seller agrees not to advertise or sell the same vehicle on any other marketplace, sales platform, or channel during the auction period. This exclusivity is binding until the auction is concluded.
Carstop has automatic monitoring of all published cars to ensure that our terms are followed. If the car is sold through another channel or marketplace, the advertiser will be charged a fee of 5000 SEK.
4. Buyer Obligations
4.1. Bids placed by buyers are binding offers to purchase the auctioned vehicle.
4.2. The highest valid bid at the close of the auction that meets or exceeds the reservation price results in a binding contract between the seller and the buyer.
5. Auction Process
5.1. Auctions run for the period specified in each specific listing.
5.2. The highest bid after auction close that meets or exceeds the reservation price automatically wins the vehicle.
5.3. If the reservation price is not achieved, the seller is under no obligation to sell.
6. Limitation of Liability
Carstop Falkenberg AB acts as a marketplace and does not guarantee the accuracy of sellers’ information, vehicle conditions, or the transaction itself. All sales agreements are directly between buyers and sellers.

8. Buyer’s Fee
The buyer shall pay a buyer’s fee of 2% of the final price upon winning an auction. This fee must be paid immediately after the auction has ended, and payment is made by card through the payment system provided on the platform. The buyer’s fee is non-refundable. It is the bidder’s responsibility to thoroughly verify the seller’s information before placing a bid, as any bid placed is binding and cannot be withdrawn. If the buyer’s fee is not paid within 12 hours, the vehicle may be sold to the next highest bidder.
9. Buy Now Function
With the “Buy Now” option, you can purchase the car immediately at a fixed price without bidding. When selecting “Buy Now,” the car is automatically added to your shopping cart, and the fixed price is crossed out as only the buyer’s fee to Carstop needs to be paid. The vehicle payment is made directly to the seller after an approved inspection, unless otherwise agreed between the buyer and the seller.
10. Cardealer to cardealer
Cars sold by cardealers to cardealers must be paid immediately to the seller. Upon pickup, as the buyer, you should inspect the car to ensure it matches the information provided in the auction. If you need to make a complaint about anything that was not included in the auction information, this must be reported directly to the seller.
Purchase agreement and payment instructions are sent from the seller to the buyer after a successful auction.
Payment Policy

Your card details are stored securely in accordance with applicable security standards and are managed by our payment service providers.
